The Sun and The North Star
Cayden Culbertson
I am the north star, and you are the sun.
Kids learn about you, such a well-told lie.
But I am the biggest star in the sky.
Sailors look to me when they are lost.
Sailors burn their eyes, but at what cost?
Kids draw you in the corner of their paper for fun,
what they should be drawing is me, not the sun
I come out during the night.
When it is my turn to shine, you simply take flight.
I am the biggest star, the one who guides
Soon they will see through your blinding lies
